The Gateway Family YMCA - WISE Center YMCA Branch is hosting an open house for their Adult Day Services Program on Friday, March 17th 1:30pm-2:30pm, located at 2095B Berwyn Street, Union, NJ. The W.I.S.E. (Wellness, Independence and Socialization for our Elders) Adult Day Services Program is a social opportunity designed to help adults maintain their independence and improve their quality of life through activities designed to meet their special needs. Caregivers are provided a necessary respite while their loved ones are cared for in a safe, secure and supportive environment.


The Gateway Family YMCA is gearing up for a summer of fun with the theme, “Once Upon a Summer”, and is inviting the public to learn more about summer camp at an open house this spring. Summer camp open house dates are scheduled for March 22 6-8pm, April 29 12-3pm and May 16 6-8pm. Summer day camp is available at the Elizabeth Branch, 135 Madison Avenue, Elizabeth, the Five Points Branch, 201 Tucker Avenue, Union and the Rahway Branch, 1564 Irving Street, Rahway.


The Gateway Family YMCA has announced the launch of their 2017 Annual Campaign. Annual Campaign donations help to ensure that everyone in the community has access to vital community programs and resources that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The 2017 campaign goal is to raise $575,000 in donations by May to support those in need in the communities surrounding Elizabeth, Rahway and Union.

FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT – Nurturing the potential of every child and teen through child care, afterschool child care, day camp, sports, arts, learn to swim, teen and health and well-being classes.
FOR HEALTHY LIVING – Improving the nation’s health and well-being with programs and membership for youth, teens, adults, seniors and families. Programs include: yoga, zumba, volleyball, basketball, tae kwon do, arthritis, dance, health assessments, personal training, diabetes prevention, swimming and adult and child learn to swim.
FOR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY – Giving back and providing support for our neighbors. The Y has supportive housing for individuals and families, Adult Day Care, Financial Assistance along with community engagement.
